中逾11億頭彩　加男全數捐出做慈善

【國際中心╱綜合外電報導】加拿大艾伯塔省一退休人士現年64歲的克里斯特（Tom Crist），今年5月3日他中了「Lotto Max」的頭獎，獎金4000萬加幣(約台幣11.14億元)，直到16日才前去領獎，隔日就對外宣佈將獎金全數捐作慈善用途，尤其是癌病研究，用來紀念患癌離世的愛妻。

當時樂透彩公司通知他獲獎時，他人正在美國加州打高爾夫球，他雖然感到驚喜，但當下就已決定捐出這筆意外之財，他的妻子去年2月因肺癌過世，他希望將獎金全捐給癌症中心做研究，幫助與亡妻同病相憐的患者。

克里斯特表示：「我很幸運，事業一帆風順，44年來都在同一間公司工作，做得很愜意，而且積蓄足夠我餘生和孩子使用，他們可尋求自己的未來。我實在不需要這筆獎金。」
