打完5局，以17比1領先的隊伍，竟被逼出延長賽，最後還輸球！這場留名青史的對決，出現在1A小聯盟，水手隊傘下的柯林頓木工王隊，上演瘋狂大逆轉，克服16分落後，打到12局，以20比17擊敗柏林頓蜂隊。

蜂隊2局下攻得7分，4局下再添1分，木工王隊5局上破蛋、追回1分，但蜂隊馬上在5局下狂打9分，取得17比1領先。然而，木工王沒有洩氣，6局上打6分、8局再追5分、9局上先打回1分後，再靠Marcus Littlewood的滿貫砲追平。

「當我繞過四個壘包時，覺得我們所做的實在令人不敢相信，」Littlewood說，「這也許是我碰過最有趣的比賽。」

第10、11兩局雙方都沒有得分，到了12局上，木工王隊靠著Justin Seager、Lonnie Kauppila的兩支適時安打，攻下3分。Justin Seager有位大名鼎鼎的哥哥，那就是水手隊球星Kyle Seager。

12局上敲出長打、追加兩分保險分的Kauppila，12局下還得登板守成，他順利完成任務，收下職棒生涯第一個救援成功。這位二壘手回憶12局上的那個打席，自覺責任重大。
