2013年10月10日全新第三代Mazda3在日本發表上市，這輛MAZDA旗下最暢銷的房車，將肩負著龐大的銷售聲勢。首發日本地區後預計在年底也會開始往歐洲、美國等市場邁進。相較於普通版本的熱絡，性能版Mazdaspeed3（亦稱Mazda3 MPS）卻始終不見身影，甚至是動力規格等訊息，至今也尚未拍板定案。
