墨西哥南部一個小鎮的鎮長9日和一隻穿著白婚紗的鱷魚『結婚』，這是當地一個象徵性的傳統儀式，旨在保佑海產收獲良好。

環球網據英國《每日郵報》報導，鎮長在當地政務廳和這個特殊的『新娘』舉行婚禮。儀式開始前，『鱷魚新娘』在鎮上遊走一圈。而後在賓客入場前，被鎮長抱在手上舞蹈。這場有趣的婚禮派對擠滿了當地居民。為了防止意外發生，婚禮期間鱷魚的嘴巴都被捆上了。在婚禮上，鎮長宣誓說：『我自願與這位公主成婚。』

現在，這隻鱷魚被稱為鎮長夫人。鎮長說：『這是令人激動愉悅的一天。當我們的公主駕臨時，居民們都以焰火相迎。』一位當地居民解釋了這一儀式的重要性：『這個儀式對年輕人來說意味深遠，它是我們祖先留給我們最寶貴的財富。』當地委員會支付了婚禮慶典的費用，包括舞蹈和焰火的支出。
