嘉義縣大林鎮今天以走紅地毯方式表揚模範母親，鎮長黃貞瑜以當地盛產的蘭花當賀禮，傳達蘭花的花語「我愛您」。

大林鎮今天上午在三和國小舉行「五月蘭花香．花語傳祝福」慶祝母親節及模範母親表揚活動，邀請模範母親走紅地毯，並播放子女分享的「媽媽的愛」影片。

由於大林盛產蘭花，因此鎮長黃貞瑜以蘭花取代康乃馨，藉由蘭花的花語「我愛您」、「幸福快樂」傳達對模範母親的祝福。

黃貞瑜表示，大林盛產的蘭花採溫室栽培，不受天候影響，價格穩定，花期可持續數月，高貴典雅的蘭花，非常適合母親的高雅氣質。

她說，大林鎮自去年起以蘭花做為母親節花禮，大受好評，蘭花幽靜淡雅、高貴脫俗、花朵圓潤、花期悠長，凋謝後，只要用心哉培，隔年又能開出美麗的花朵，就像花中仙子一樣。

黃貞瑜指出，大林鎮今年選出26名模範母親，其中接受縣府表揚的模範母親劉金桂，長子江俊彥就是大林糖廠蘭花場場長，也是將台糖蘭業推向國際舞台的幕後推手。

由於大林諧音「Darling」，黃貞瑜在母親節前夕，特別在臉書上邀請網友留言向Darling（母親、妻子、阿嬤）說「我愛您」，前50名送小禮物，短短1小時就有百餘人上網留言。(中央社)
