休士頓火箭5日和洛杉磯快艇進行一場「海空飆分大戰」，可惜以Chris Paul為首的「空接之城」火力全開，最終火箭118：137輸球，中止開季3連勝。

上半場，快艇節奏飛快、效率超高，讓火箭不斷陪上犯規，包括「魔獸」Dwight Howard、「哈佛小子」林書豪都陷入犯規麻煩。

第3節，火箭一度靠著替補球員追到剩6分差，但近年培養不少大賽經驗的快艇總是能將領先持續擴大至雙位數。

身背4次犯規的林書豪，終於在比賽最後5分46秒投進此役第1記三分球，但為時已晚，火箭最多落後達21分，最終19之差被迫「埋單」。

此役完全是「保羅船長」Paul的個人秀，全場繳出23分、17助攻，屢次和Blake Griffin、DeAndre Jordan合作完成「空接爆扣」，High翻全場，也重挫火箭士氣。
