【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】一名愛沙尼亞工程師尼爾森（Mait Nilson）前天（2日）駕駛水陸兩用車從愛沙尼亞首都塔林出發，啟程環遊世界。尼爾森預計將征服6萬公里路途（包括海上行程），將在明年8月返回愛沙尼亞。

44歲的尼爾森所駕駛的水陸兩用車，是由豐田越野休旅車Land Cruiser所改裝，除了能夠在水上「行駛」，車上還改裝了爐灶與簡易廁所。這位機械工程師過去7年都在計畫這趟環遊世界的旅程，前天他在大批支持者歡送下離開塔林。尼爾森說，環遊世界從10歲起就是我的夢想。

從愛沙尼亞出發後，尼爾森預計這趟旅程將途經拉脫維亞、立陶宛、波蘭、斯洛伐克、斯洛維尼亞、義大利、法國、西班牙、摩洛哥、茅利塔尼亞、塞內加爾、維德角、巴西、阿根廷、智利、祕魯、哥倫比亞、巴拿馬、尼加拉瓜、宏都拉斯、瓜地馬拉、墨西哥、美國、加拿大、俄國。
