韓財金首長認定：經濟走下坡風險加大

南韓新任財政部長崔炅煥21日與中央銀行總裁李柱烈21日舉行首次會議，雙方都認為南韓經濟「走下坡的風險越來越大」，並同意合作以支撐經濟。會中並未直接觸及央行是否應降息的議題。

兩人都同意南韓經濟復甦受到「世越輪」船難的不利影響，例如國內需求遲滯，以及內需與出口失衡的結構性問題。財、金當局應維持經濟與貨幣政策的和諧，以支持穩定的成長。

市場高度猜測新任財長崔炅煥為促進經濟成長，可能會壓迫央行降息。7月初央行會議雖決定維持目前2.5%的利率，但決策委員會內部有一名委員反對維持利率不變，使市場猜測央行最早可能會在8月降息。

在這次財、金首長會議上，崔炅煥並未明白表示必需降息，而只強調央行決策的獨立性。但市場猜測，依據他最近的發言及過去的政策記錄，已使降息的可能性升高。
