SONY出貨三年跌三成 困境顯而易見

SONY出售VAIO個人電腦事業部門震撼業界但並不令人意外。根據全球市場研究機構TrendForce 旗下光電事業處WitsView調查顯示，SONY筆記型電腦出貨量從2010 年到2013年衰退近35%，2013年全球市占率降到4%以下，明顯可見其個人電腦事業已面臨經營困境。

SONY VAIO一直給人高品質的精品印象，在許多功能及設計上也都勇於創新與嘗試，WitsView研究副理陳虹燕表示，SONY是2013 年最積極發展觸控筆電的品牌，相較於整體市場觸控筆電滲透率僅10%，SONY自身的觸控筆電滲透率估計達到25%。

但在價格當道且消費者選擇太多的情況下，產品差異仍需兼顧售價，同時，堅持高階產品也讓SONY難以拓展新市場。

WitsView表示，SONY的筆電品牌VAIO於市場上的品牌價值仍高，與Japan Industrial Partners(JIP)合作成立的新公司將如何運作眾所期待，不但影響著VAIO品牌的未來，也牽動市場未來的變化。
