關於雞蛋的保存方式、保存期限，建議冬日可常溫保存、放置陰涼處即可；但夏日最好放置冰箱保存。

若雞蛋表面略有髒汙，可於食用前水洗雞蛋外殼再打蛋，但若是購買表面乾淨的「洗選蛋」，建議民眾不用再洗一次，因為反而會造成細菌孳生，但提醒民眾打完蛋後千萬記得洗手，避免病從口入。
