跨年台中兩起不幸一輕生一名街友倒地死亡

跨年前後，台中市發生兩起不幸。一名六十歲男子疑似久病厭世，元旦上午八點多，在平等街和民權路口跳樓自殺，警方初步排除有他殺之嫌。此外，還有一名遊民，昨天中午在自由路不支倒地，送醫後不治。　（張文祿報導）

一號上午八點多，六十歲蔡姓男子陳屍平等街、民權路口，警方封鎖現場，進行採證，男子是中華電信外聘蔡姓保全員，留有簡短文字，寫者對不起！由於男子曾向其他同事表示身體不好，警方初步研判是單純自殺，因為墜落時，頭部重創，當場死亡。

三十一號中午，在台中市自由路，一名王姓街友倒地，熱心民眾發現，上前協助，王姓街友表示自己很渴，民眾到超商買水給他，沒想到，返回時，發現王姓街友已經斷氣，送醫搶救，仍不幸死亡，醫師診斷死於肺炎。

警方查出死者身份，通知死者哥哥前往認屍。據指出，死者離婚多年，打零工維生。
