徐生明盃少棒賽　子弟兵美濃國小屈居亞軍

【劉智維／高雄報導】為紀念「棒球魔術師」徐生明辦理的第一屆徐生明盃少棒賽今天下午在高雄美濃舉行決賽，徐生明生前指導成軍的美濃國小少棒隊雖過關斬將，一路打進最後決賽，但最後仍敗給高市鼓山國小少棒隊屈居亞軍，讓小球員們難過落淚。不過徐生明遺孀謝榮瑤則肯定球員「你們的努力徐總都看在眼裡」，她說美濃少棒成軍僅短短兩年，能打出這樣的成績已相當令人欣慰。
 
包括徐生明生前在故鄉美濃成立的美濃少棒隊等32支球隊，上月30日在美濃國中棒球場開打爭取冠軍最高榮譽，經過6天競賽後，美濃國小少棒隊順利進入決賽，下午與高雄市鼓山區鼓山國小爭奪最後冠軍，最後以3比0成績敗北，第三及第四名則分別由桃園縣龜山國小及台北市東園國小獲得。
