紅綠燈完工半年不來電　又增4起車禍12傷

台中市太平區主要幹道中山路3段、新明街交叉口，去年發生11件車禍，在地方民代爭取下，市府交通局去年底在該處設置紅綠燈，今年1月也向台電繳完安裝費，但至今仍未通電，引發地方居民不不滿。

市議員黃秀珠指出，市府花了40萬元經費設置紅綠燈，但半年來卻沒有供電，形同虛設，完全無法發揮功能，造成這六個月來，至少又發生4起車禍、12人次受傷送醫紀錄，市府與台電效率實在太差，讓民眾身陷險境。

市府交通局交通工程科長何文瑞表示，之前因管線問題一直未能解決，造成紅綠燈遲遲未能供電，經多次與台電協調，目前問題已解決，預計1、2週內開始供電，讓紅綠燈能發揮正常維護道路交通安全。(朱俊彥／台中報導)
