This tree has become Taiwan's best known one since the summer of 2013 after a superstar sipped tea in its shade in an EVA Airways TV commercial. The commercial made the 7-meter-tall tree and the surrounding fields one of the most popular tourist destinations in Taitung County.
Hopefully Taitung's Takeshi Kaneshiro tree will survive.
survive是指「活下來」、「倖存」,用英文解釋是to continue to live after many problems,在困難中挺過來、掙扎著過下去。句中的Taitung's Takeshi Kaneshiro tree指的就是這棵「金城武樹」。但是句中最值得一提的是hopefully這個字,在英文裡,它用來修飾全句的副詞,指「但願」。樹倒後的一片惋惜聲中,相關單位甚至找來了日本天皇御用樹醫來緊急醫治這棵在伯朗大道倒下的「金城武樹」。
