大林慈濟醫院為慶祝開業14週年，今天前往雲林古坑鄉桂林村舉行義診，讓不方便外出就醫的民眾，也能得到照顧。

大林慈濟醫院院長賴寧生表示，「有苦的人走不出來，我們就要走進去」，希望藉由義診找回醫療的初發心。

院方表示，古坑鄉桂林村醫療資源匱乏，加上交通不便，村民要下山看醫生，往往要耗費許多時間，因此大林慈濟醫院特別選在當地辦理義診。

由於山區居民年紀偏高，有許多阿公、阿嬤有高血糖、高血壓等毛病，或因忙於農事，有腰痠背痛等問題，都由醫師群看診、開藥，甚至滿足行動不便的老人「到對面和鄰居聊天」的願望。(中央社)
