金管會今(21)日同意台新金(2887-TW)旗下台新銀行向日本主管機關申請設立東京分行。

台新銀行考量近年東亞地區經濟快速增長，地區國家之間的經濟整合亦持續增強，而東京為日本的金融中心也是重要的金融市場之一，經該行評估日本政經、金融概況及臺日雙邊貿易等情形，因此規劃於東京設立分行，擴大營運空間，朝國際化之經營目標邁進。

金管會表示，目前我國銀行於日本設有分行者計有臺灣銀行、第一商業銀行、彰化商業銀行、兆豐銀行及中國信託銀行等5家，該5家銀行均於東京設立分行，其中兆銀行已於大阪設立日本第2家分行，而中國信託銀行則於今(2014)年6月完成東京之星子行的併購。
