對於國民黨中央委員連勝文在今（24）日在建成圓環宣布參選台北市長，民進黨立委蔡煌瑯表示，這是一場貴族對抗平民的選戰，連勝文過去的歷練都是在追求權力跟金錢，從來沒有站在人民的身邊，蔡批評，連勝文就算講出「軸線翻轉」，外界認為都是在騙選票。

蔡煌瑯說，過去連勝文讓大家的印象就是追求金錢跟權力，連勝文到底是為何而戰？到底是為誰而戰？外界都搞不清楚。

國民黨立委羅淑蕾則說，在那裡參選，都沒有說就可以翻轉什麼，每個人宣布參選都是一時的，羅強調，整個台北市西區建設比較落後，最重要的就是航道問題，松山機場問題，她建議連勝文參選時，直接宣布把松山機場廢除掉，這樣西區才能進步，不然大樓不能蓋，因為限高，當然沒辦法把西區建設好，所以要把政策拿出來，才是最重要。
