彭博社報導，美國政府部分停擺已對全球航空業造成影響，包括達美航空（Delta AirLines Inc.）和AMR集團（AMR Corp.）旗下美國航空（American Airlines）等新噴射機目前滯留遠達德國等海外地區等待運交。

1架空中巴士（Airbus SAS）A319飛機訂今天運往美國，目前仍停留在地面等候指令，和其他空巴噴射機一樣滯留歐洲，無法交付捷藍航空（JetBlue AirwaysCorp.）和全美航空集團（US Airways Group Inc）。

儘管空中旅行還未受到影響，但航空公司和飛機製造商出貨遲緩，已顯現美國聯邦政府停擺效應。

美國通用航空製造商協會（General AviationManufacturers Association，GAMA）指出，小型飛機也恐將受累，因為政府關閉至10月中旬，將在飛機運交旺季期間，延誤價值15億美元、130架飛機運交。

前空巴主管、現為韓林運輸顧問公司（HamlinTransportation Consulting）總裁韓林（GeorgeHamlin）表示：「我們從未遇過這種事。大家都忙於應付政府關閉影響，它終將對所有事務都產生衝擊。」
