林口三峽淡水都是重劃區。
林口有華亞科技園區，三峽有北大，淡水有淡大。
林口、三峽有高速公路，淡水的快速道路受阻但捷運已通車至淡水站。
林口、淡水的冬天很冷，但林口夏天涼快而淡水有河景。
就以上現有條件比較，三地不相上下，各有長短，所以房價差異不大。

不過就未來發展而言，林口的捷運兩年內應會完工通車、媒体園區將提供相當多的就業機會、三井購物中心必然會改善林口生活機能，這三項進行中的建設將決定林口是否能成為台北都會區第二圈的領頭羊。。
