高雄市忠孝國中以5比8不敵日本豐田，在本屆台北國際城市青少棒錦標賽收下亞軍，總教練倪國展說：「原本就以4強為目標，已經達到，接下來瞄準明年3月全國聯賽。」

忠孝國中這場比賽，先發投手吳育寬僅投9球、送出2次保送就退場，接替投球的楊晉豪投6局，被敲8安5保送3三振，失6分有3分自責分。

「日本的打擊很黏，有幾球我們投得不錯，還是被打出去，加上他們的守備跟運氣都不錯，」倪國展在今年的賽會也觀察到日本隊的改變，「他們的攻擊變得很有企圖心，不像以往的只求破壞，也敢拉長打了。」

倪國展也特別肯定開路先鋒曾宸佐及中心打者柯佳豪，兩人也分別獲得全壘打獎(2支)及打擊獎第2名(打擊率5成26)。

賽後，教頭將全員集合，希望大家從這場比賽吸取經驗，把做不好的地方改善，「這項比賽像是我們的模擬考，最主要的是明年的全國聯賽，會以原班人馬參加，希望能打破過去最佳第3名的成績。」
