巨人隊王牌投手Matt Cain又進傷兵名單！這回的原因是右手肘發炎，雖然球團保持樂觀，認為Cain不必動刀、導致球季報銷，但目前還不知道會休息多久。

這是Cain本季第三度進入傷兵名單。今年Cain受傷痛之苦，表現不如預期，戰績僅2勝7敗，防禦率4.18也是最差。

原定22日Cain先發的這場比賽，巨人改派Yusmeiro Petit應戰，並從3A拉上右投George Kontos，填補25人名單。

巨人隊的傷兵還有一壘手Brandon Belt，因為腦震盪進入7天兵名單，球團從3A拉上內野手Adam Duvall。
