中信兄弟和統一獅雙重賽首戰，中信兄弟上演煙火秀，全場繳出20支安打、單場三轟，終場以18比2大勝統一獅。

前5局打完，中信兄弟除了第4局沒有添得分數，局局皆有攻勢，首局靠洋將耐克敲安，先馳得點，接著在2、3局分別吃下5分、及4分大局，5局上，黃仕豪、周思齊演出「背靠背」全壘打，中信兄弟再灌進6分，以16比0遙遙領先統一獅。

8局下，統一獅燃起反攻之火，周廣勝、劉芙豪和方昶詠連敲安，助球隊破蛋，接著打擊的鄧志偉敲出高飛犧牲打，貢獻1打點，不過，中信兄弟救援投手羅國華隨即穩住陣腳，連續解決兩名打者，沒讓傷害擴大。

9局上，中信兄弟攻勢再起，前一次打數擊出全壘打的「周董」周思齊，這局又扛出一發2分砲，砲擊統一獅，讓對方無力反擊。

中信兄弟此役推出陳鴻文迎戰，先發6局，僅被敲出4支安打，投出5K，1次保送，沒有丟分。陳鴻文自3月23日對統一獅奪得首勝後，近4場比賽投27.1局，防禦率1.97，可是隊友火力不足，讓他苦吞3敗，這一戰，得到隊友火力支援，拿下本季第2勝。
