台南市七股地區出現毒狗事件，溪南社區的流浪狗及家犬，陸續遭人以酥炸的魚骨頭混摻不明藥物下毒，初估死亡的數量近百隻，地方民眾已報請動保處及警方介入調查。

台南市議員陳朝來日前接獲陳情，1名陳姓男子上個月18日發現飼養8年的家犬去向不明，找到時已奄奄一息，疑似吃下不明毒物；雖立即送往動物醫院急救，最後仍不治死亡。陳姓男子向附近鄰居詢問後，發現近來有很多類似情況，連有飼主的家犬也不放過。

陳朝來說，最近一個多月來，光是陳姓男子就送了好幾隻狗到醫院救治，但都沒能救回來，估計應有近百隻狗遭到毒手。警方調閱監視器，希望早日破案。

市府動物保護處長李朝全指出，故意使動物遭受虐待或傷害，致動物肢體嚴重殘缺、重要器官功能喪失或死亡者，可處10萬元以上50萬元以下罰鍰，並得公布其姓名、名稱或照片。惡意毒狗行為若遭查獲，將依違反動物保護法送辦，可處1年以下有期徒刑。
