2013年全球電玩市場將達930億美元

國際研究暨顧問機構顧能（Gartner）指出，2013年全球電玩市場（含電玩主機軟硬體、線上遊戲、行動遊戲和PC單機遊戲）將達930億美元，較2012年的790億美元大幅成長。

智慧型手機和平板等行動裝置持續增加，行動遊戲類別將因為其所提供之娛樂價值成為電玩市場成長最快的領域，其營收預期將自2013年的132億美元近乎翻倍成長至2015年的220億美元。

索尼、微軟及近期的任天堂皆於今年推出新世代電玩主機，為這個可能因行動裝置普及而朝另一方向發展的市場注入一劑強心針。

索尼與微軟將於11月發售新的電玩主機，而玩家對新主機的預期需求已造成2013年電玩主機硬體銷售量暫時下跌，但2014年將恢復成長。反觀專用的掌上型遊戲機與傳統的PC單機遊戲則呈現明顯對比，兩者將屈居遊戲市場中的次要角色，且不再是重要的遊戲平台。
