造價1.8億 太魯閣號新車頭抵台

〔自由時報記者歐素美／台中報導〕台鐵278次太魯閣號列車101年元月行經桃園埔心車站時，因砂石車搶越平交道，駕駛機車長不幸殉職，太魯閣號車頭全毀。台鐵向日本原廠訂購新的火車頭，歷經18個月打造，火車頭昨運抵台中港，造價1.8億元。

該列車組裝完成後，將運送到樹林調車場，測試通過後，才會加入營運。
