2013年日本東京車展上LEXUS發表了嶄新雙門車款，延續2013年1月初全新第三代的IS的設計走向，在捨去後門以及外觀細節稍做變化後，新車系名稱RC就此誕生。而在這訴求個性化、性能取向的汽車市場中，雙門跑車一直以來都是不可或缺的角色，因此除了外觀造型要夠吸引人外，其車輛顏色亦為消費者對於這輛車的第一印象。
