非洲國家肯亞，首都奈洛比(Nairobi)的購物中心，在當地時間21日發生一起槍擊案，據最新外電報導，目前已經造成39人死亡、150人受傷的慘劇。外傳共有15至18名的槍手，歹徒持續挾持人質，在奈洛比的西門購物中心（Westgate Mall）和軍警對峙。

稍早肯亞總統甘耶達（Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta）透過電視發表演說，奈洛比的槍擊事件造成至少39人死亡、150人受傷，當中還包括他的親人。根據外媒報導，發動攻擊的與蓋達組織(Al Qaeda)掛鉤的索馬利亞激進團體青年黨(Shebab)，他們也坦承犯案，並且態度強硬地表示，絕不會協商讓步。

甘耶達表示，肯亞「以往曾克服恐怖分子攻擊，我們將會再度擊敗他們」，還告訴全國人民，他本人「也在西門（Westgate）購物中心遇襲事件中痛失親人」。他譴責恐怖主義是「懦夫的哲學」。

這起重大傷亡事件，法國當局證實有2名法國公民，不幸在這場槍擊案罹難，美國也有多位公民在此案受傷。目前肯亞方面出動軍警前往和歹徒對峙，甘耶達表示「他們意圖在我國引發恐懼和沮喪，但我們不會被嚇唬到。」並誓言逮捕這些涉案人員。
