警方調查，王姓男子（五十四歲）和哥哥（六十歲）同住楊梅民生街透天厝二樓，王的兒子昨天早上七點外出買早餐給父親，回到三樓房間才過廿分鐘，二樓就傳出氣爆巨響，整層樓陷入火海，他衝下一樓逃生。

消防隊獲報到場救援，得知有人受困衝入火場，在二樓浴室門口找到王，在一間臥室找到他哥哥，分送楊梅天成醫院及新竹湖口仁慈醫院，王全身百分之九十燒傷，哥哥全身多處二度燒傷，急救後都宣告死亡。

火勢廿分鐘就撲滅，消防隊員在二樓客廳找到有引爆跡象的瓦斯桶，初步研判是起火點，加上王的兒子表示，父親最近心情不好，疑把放在廚房的瓦斯桶拿到客廳引爆輕生；伯父在客廳旁房間內睡覺，受阻火勢無法逃生。

王的兒子說，六日晚間父親酒後與人發生衝突，回家時臉上有瘀青，從那天就一直心情不好，可能因此想不開。

警方調閱紀錄也發現，王男前晚略帶酒意到派出所報案，表示遭人毆打，但提不出證據，心情低落又不滿，不斷表示「明明被打，卻沒人願意指證」。

鄰居則說，王常酒後無故拍打別人的機車，日前和附近檳榔攤業者起衝突，他臉部受傷，要求對方賠償二萬，對方只同意賠六千，他因和解不成堅持提告，但親友勸大事化小，他覺得大家不相信他，多日來落落寡歡。

【李俊淇／新北報導】新北市1名47歲方姓男子，今日下午8時許，被發現在租屋處浴室燒炭身亡，屍體明顯發黑腫漲，預估死亡時間超過3天。死者家屬表示，死者都這幾天沒有回家一起用餐，親自上門找他時，才發現他在浴室內燒炭自殺。

警方表示，現場留有炭盆，浴室門窗都被膠帶封住未有破壞痕跡，初步排除他殺，將待檢警相驗釐清死因。
