隨插即播，免設定多媒體播放器 Slice

6688dccf776b309951fe5d146b178775 不知道各位在家是否有使用多媒體播放器，是否被繁雜的設定搞到心煩意亂，如果你只是想要輕鬆地坐在電視機前看影片的話，Slice 或許就是款適合你的多媒體播放器。它不但有著隨插即播的特色，還有與眾不同的 LED 跑馬燈，能夠變化出許多不同的視覺效果。

通吃各種格式的播放器

縱觀家用「影片播放設備」的發展，從最早的 Beta、VHS 錄影帶、LD 影碟，到後期的 DVD、BD 光碟等播放器，大多只能播放單一種儲存媒體與格式，使用彈性較低，就算是最新的 BD 光碟等播放器，功能也是以播放 CD 音樂與 DVD、BD 影片為主。

如果想要播放各種不同格式的多媒體檔案的話，就需另外尋找其他的播放設備。以筆者自己的使用習慣為例，我以 OUYA 遊戲主機配合 XBMC 播放軟體，並使用智慧型手機做為遙控器，來滿足在電視收看各式影片的需求，不過整體操作比較麻煩，而已為了遙控器還需特別進行網路設定，讓 OUYA 主機能取得固定 IP，以利遙控器與 XBMC 播放軟體連線，使用上相對比較麻煩。

免設定直接看的 Slice

Slice 的出現，就是要解決這些麻煩的設定問題，讓使用者只要一插上電視就可直接使用。Slice 的硬體架構與 Raspberry Pi 相當類似，都是採用 BCM2835 SoC 晶片（700MHz）與 512MB 記憶體，此外 Slice 還具有安裝系統的 4GB 快閃記憶體與用來儲存多媒體檔案的 2.5 吋、1TB 硬碟。在播放軟體方面，Slice 採用客製化的 XBMC，不但具有 XBMC 幾乎可以通吃所有多媒體檔案的優勢，在介面與設定上更加簡單，Slice 還具有專屬遙控器，使用者至需將機器接上電視、按下遙控器上的電源開關，就可以開始享受多媒體內容了。

在檔案傳輸部分，使用者可以直接將 Slice 透過 USB 接上電腦，這時候 Slice 就像外接硬碟一樣，使用者只需將檔案拖曳過去即可。另一種方式即透過 Slice 機身上的 USB 端子，直接播放儲存於 USB 隨身碟、隨身硬碟中的檔案。在 Slice 開機後，系統就會自動掃瞄新加入的檔案，並加進播放列表。Slice 也支援有線網路與 USB 無線網路卡，可以串流播放網路、區域網路中的多媒體檔案，也支援 AppleAir Play，可以直接播放 iDevice 上的檔案。

Slice 的另一個特色，就是具有可程式化的 LED 燈條，在開機時燈條會自動展示燈光秀，使用者也可以自行設定燈條的顯示模式，增添 Slice的 視覺風格。

包含 1TB 硬碟的 Slice 定價為英鎊 179 元（約合新台幣 8,900 元），預計於 2014 年 12 月上市。

▲介面也支援多種佈景主題。

▲機身上的燈條可以顯示不同燈光效果。

▲Slice的燈光也能夠以跑馬燈方式呈現。

阿里巴巴因「中國籍」無緣進標普500

大陸電商巨頭阿里巴巴即將在美國IPO，其市值也將超過很多美國頂尖上市公司。但即使這樣，由於阿里巴巴是一家大陸公司，因此不可能變成為人所熟知的標普500指數成分股。

新浪報導，標普500指數被認為是衡量美國大盤股最好且唯一的指數，但根據標普道瓊斯指數公司的規則，必須是美國籍公司才能成為標普500指數。而在日前，標普道瓊斯指數公司宣布阿里巴巴集團將被劃分為「中國籍」公司。

雖然因為大陸公司的身份不能入選標普500指數，但標普道瓊斯指數公司表示，阿里巴巴可以成為標普道瓊斯全球基準指數成分股，因為該指數涵蓋了大陸股市。
