美國經濟評議會（The Conference Board）6月份公布2014工作滿意度報告指出，47.7%不到一半的受訪者滿意現有的工作，比去年小幅提高0.4個百分點，美國民眾已連續8年對整體工作滿意度未達50%。

報告同時指出，只有25至44歲的中間世代對工作滿意度超過5成，25歲以下的滿意度最低，只有28.2%，調查顯示美國社會新鮮人普遍對第一份工作不滿。分析認為，許多美國大學畢業生，在經濟回升緩慢之際，面臨高學歷低就業的困境。

相較於1987年，55.7%的美國社會新鮮人滿意手邊工作，20餘年後的年輕世代，明顯缺乏對未來的憧憬與朝氣，年輕人11%的失業率，高於其他世代。

不過隨著年齡增長與工作經驗增加，繼續留在職場的年輕人對工作滿意度快速提升。金融危機後，2011至2013年，25歲以下的平均工作滿意度為37.8%，同一時期25至34歲的平均數字為50.4%。

美國社會新鮮人雖拖低整體工作滿意度，但同屬千禧世代的25至34歲的青年對工作滿意度提高，顯示年輕世代只要有耐心適應職場挑戰，工作滿意度與成就感將隨之而來。(中央社)

中央情報局曾考慮製造會變成魔眼惡魔的賓拉丹玩偶，希望用以促使外國兒童相信他是可怕的惡魔，不是英雄。

這種12吋高的賓拉丹玩偶，臉上使用遇熱會溶解剝落的顏料，露出紅臉、綠眼、黑疤的妖魔本相。

這項2005年的心理戰計畫，還找孩之寶玩具公司 (Hasbro)專家做顧問，製作了三個原型，可是中情局最後打消這項計畫。

中情局宣稱它從未大量製造或分發這種動作玩偶，可是消息人士透露中國的工廠預做了幾百個，在2006年運到巴基斯坦的喀拉蚩。

魔眼計畫有意向美國在南亞的盟國，提供玩具和文具等材料分發給兒童。中情局長久以來一直在進行這種「影響力作業」，以破壞對手和散播有利宣傳，可是成效不一。
